Hollant Beach – Goa
Located at a distance of 2 km away from Bomgalo Beach in Goa is a scenic and pristine beach called Hollant Beach. This extremely picturesque beach is located in close proximity to the city of Vasco. Apart from its overall natural beauty, this beach is also known for providing magnificent views of the setting sun. In addition, since the slope of this beach is shallow during low tides the area significantly increases.

By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Vasco Da Gama at a distance of 7 km. The Vasco Da Gama Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country.
By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach the ideal starting point would be Vasco Da Gama and Margao.
Via Vasco Da Gama: There is one route available from Vasco Da Gama. It is via NH-566. The route includes NH-566, Bogmalo Road, and finally the beach.
Via Margao: There are three routes available from Margao. They are as follows:
- Via NH-566: This route includes Margao By-pass, Arlem Bypass, Bogmalo Road, and finally to the beach.
- Via Margao-Ponda-Highway: This route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, Margao Bypass, Margao-Ponda Highway/Panaji-Farmagudi-Margao Highway Bypass Road, Bogmalo Road and finally this beach.
- Via Cortalim-Racaim-Lotulim-Borim: This route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, Margoa Bypass, Ponda Highway/Panaji-Farmagudi-Margao Highway Bypass Road,Cortalim-Racaim-Lotulim-Borim, Bogmalo Road, and finally the beach.
By air:
The nearest airport to the Hollant Beach is located in Dabolim at a distance of 50 km. The Dabolim or the Goa International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as to international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit the Hollant Beach
The climate experienced at this beach during the summer months from March to May is hot and humid with average temperature ranging to about 35 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon which begins in June and ends in September is “heavy”. The winter which begins in December and ends in February is extremely “pleasant” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius to a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this place to enjoy the scenic beauty, as well as water sports activities, is from December to February.
Things/activities to do in Hollant Beach
Since this beach is located in an isolated spot there are not many things/activities to do found in and around this beach. Although, this beach provides tourists with magnificent views of the setting sun. In addition, its pristine and tranquil atmosphere is also a major reason why this beach is worth visiting.
