Chandipur Beach – Odisha
Surrounded by casuarina trees and comprising of beautiful sand dunes is an extremely scenic beach called Chandipur Beach in Odisha. This picturesque beach is located in a hamlet called Chandipur in the Baleswar district. This beach is situated at about 16 km from Balasore Railway Station, and is considered to be one among the best beaches in the state. Furthermore, this beach is also supposed to be among the few beaches in the world where the sea water recedes to up to about 5 km during low tide.

Climate and the best time to visit the Chandipur Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is extremely hot with the mercury rising to about 45 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in June and ends in September is “moderate”. On the other hand the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 18 degree Celsius to a minimum of 10 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is from October to February during winter.
Things to do at Chandipur Beach
Apart from sightseeing and enjoying the pristine and picturesque beauty of this beach while having a stroll there are not many things/activities to do found at this beach. Although, enjoyable boat rides along with the local fishermen is available at this beach. Additionally, a number of restaurants serving typical Odia and Bengali cuisine are located around this beach. These restaurants include Magic Food, Jalpan, Aroma Restaurant, and MAA Tarini Resaturant.
