Patnem Beach – Goa

This scenic beach is located in close proximity to the Palolem Beach in the South Goa region. How to Reach the Patnem Beach?
- By train:
The nearest major railway station located to this beach is in Madgaon at a distance of 43 km. The Madgaon Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country. Additionally, there are taxi services available from Madgaon Railway to Patnem Beach.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to Palolem Beach then the ideal starting point would be Margao located at a distance of 39 km. There is one route available from Margao to Palolem. It is as follows
- Via NH-66
This route includes Margao Bypass, Mandopa Road, MDR49 before finally reaching Palolem Beach.
- By air:
The closest airport to this beautiful beach is located in Dabolim. The Dabolim Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as major international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit the Patnem Beach
“Hot and humid” is the best way to describe the climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon which begins in June and ends in September is heavy. The winter which begins in December and ends in February on the other hand is pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius to a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. So the ideal to enjoy the serenity that this beach possesses is from December to February during the winter season.

There are a couple of things/activities to do found at this beach worth trying. They are as follows
- Bamboo Yoga Retreat:
Earlier known as Lotus Yoga Retreat, this yoga centre provides for a yoga holiday inclusive of food as well as accommodation. Furthermore, the accommodation provided is in the form of huts made from bamboo.
2. Kranti Yoga Beach Resort:
Is a beach resort that promotes Yoga and is intended for all those people who are passionate about Yoga. This resort offers intensive training in Ashtanga Yoga and Vinyasa Flow.
This beach also comprises of number of shops that provide for items such as silver jewellery, hippie clothes, and bags.
