Tithal Beach – Gujarat
Popular for comprising of “black sand” and located at a distance of about 51 km from Dharampur city in the Valsad district of Gujarat is a beach called Tithal Beach. This beach is popular with many eateries that provide for popular Gujarati snacks such as Dabeli, Bhel Chaat etc. Additionally, there are also a number of restaurants around this beach that serve a variety of cuisines such as Indian, Chinese etc. As per a Gujarat Government initiative, this beach is supposedly on its way to becoming India’s first ever disabled friendly beach with, a grand sum of about Rupees 5 crores to be spent in the first phase of this noble development.

- By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Waghai. The Waghai Railway Station is well connected to major cities such as New Delhi, Bangalore, Nashik, Mumbai etc.
2. By road:
There are a number of public GSRTC bus services that operate from the central bus stand in Valsad to the beach.
3. By Air:
The closest airport to this beach is located in the city of Surat. The Surat Airport is well connected to major cities in the country such as Delhi, Mangalore, Ahmedabad, Bhavnagar etc.
Climate and the best time to visit:
The summer months in the Valsad district which begin in March and end in June are extremely hot with temperatures ranging from 22 degree Celsius to 40 degree Celsius. From July to September marks the onset of the monsoon with the climate being extremely pleasant. The winter which sets in from November and lasts till February is extremely pleasant with temperatures ranging from 12 degree Celsius to 33 degree Celsius with, the ideal time to visit this beach being during the winters from November to February when the climate is extremely cool and pleasant.

- Shri Sai Baba Temple:
A popular temple dedicated to Sai Baba of Shirdi built by ardent devotees of the pious saint. It is a major tourist attraction located around the beach that attracts a large number of tourists.
2. Shri Swaminarayan Temple:
Popular for its magnificent structure the Shri Swaminarayan Temple is a major tourist attraction that is located at a distance of just 2 km from the beach.
