Agardanda Beach – Maharashtra

This scenic beach is located in a village known as “Agardanda” in the Murud Janjira Taluka in the Raigad district in Maharashtra. In addition, situated in close proximity to this beach is the renowned Janjira Fort. Furthermore, palm trees that surround this beach helps add more charm to its overall scenic beauty. The major railway station located in close proximity to this beach is the Mumbai Central Railway Station. The Mumbai Central Railway Station is well connected to many major cities and towns in the country.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach then the ideal starting points would be Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Nagpur.
- Via Mumbai:
There is one route from Mumbai to this beach, and it is via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai Bangalore Highway/Mumbai Pune Highway.
2. Via Navi Mumbai:
There are three routes from Navi Mumbai to this beach, and they are via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway and SH-92, via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway, SH-92 and NH-66 and NH-66.
3. Via Pune:
There are two routes from Pune to this beach, and they are via Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway/Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
4. Via Nashik:
There are three routes via Nashik to this beach, and they are via NH-160, via NH-160 and Karjat-Murbad Road, and via NH-60.
- By air:
The nearest airport is located in the suburb called Ville Parle. The ChhatrapatiShivaji International Airport is connected to major cities in the country as well as to international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit the Agardanda Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is extremely hot with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 39 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon which begins in June and ends in September is heavy. On the other hand the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 31 degree Celsius to a minimum of 15 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is during the winter season from December to February.
