Diveagar Beach – Maharashtra
Located at a distance of about 170 km to the south of Mumbai is an extremely scenic and pristine beach called Diveagar. This beautiful beach is situated in the ShrivardhanTaluka in the Raigad district in Maharashtra. It is known to be surrounded by Casuarina trees commonly seen throughout the state. In addition, situated in close proximity to this beach is a temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh.

- By train:
The closest railway to this beach is located in Mangaon at a distance of 45 km. The Mangaon Railway Station is well connected to cities such as Mumbai and Pune.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach then the ideal starting points would be Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, and Nagpur.
- Via Mumbai:
There is one route from Mumbai to this beach, and it is via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway.
2. Via Navi Mumbai:
There are two routes from Mumbai to this beach, and they are via Mumbai Highway/Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway and via NH-66.
3. Via Pune:
There are two routes from Pune to this beach, and they are via TamhiniGhat Road and SH-97 and via Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway/Mumbai-Pune Expressway.
4. Via Nashik:
There are three routes from Nashik to this beach, and they are via NH-160, via NH-48 and via NH-848 and NH-48.
5. Via Nagpur:
There are two routes from Nagpur to this beach, and they are via Nagpur-Aurangabad Highway and via Nagpur-Aurangabad Highway and NH-61.

The nearest airport is located in the suburb called Ville Parle. The ChhatrapatiShivaji International Airport is connected to major cities in the country as well as to international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit Diveagar Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is extremely hot with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 39 degree Celsius and a minimum of 20 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon which begins in June and ends in September is heavy. On the other hand the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 31 degree Celsius to a minimum of 15 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is during the winter season from December to February.

- Water sports:
A number of water sports such as parasailing, banana boat rides etc are available at this beach.
2. Lord Ganesh Temple:
A temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh is located around this beach. The idol of Lord Ganesh made up of gold was stolen by thieves on 25th March 2012. This stolen golden idol has now been replaced by a silver one.
