Wandoor Beach – Andman And Nicobar
Located at a distance of 25 km from Port Blair in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is an extremely picturesque beach called “Wandoor Beach”. - By Water:
Passenger ships to Port Blair are available from cities such as Kolkata, Chennai, and Vishakhapatnam. The tickets for these passenger ships are available in the office of the Shipping Corporation of India (SCI).

There exists a number of bus services that operate from Port Blair’s STS Bus Terminal to the beach located in Wandoor Village.
3. By Air:
The closest airport to the beach is located in Port Blair. The Port Blair Airport is well connected to major cities in the country such as Chennai, Kolkata, andMumbai.
Climate and best time to visit Wandoor Beach:
The climate during the summer months that begins in March and ends in May being hot and humid with temperatures ranging from a maximum of 36 degree Celsius to a minimum of 20 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during monsoons which begin in June and ends in September varies from moderate to heavy. The winters which begins from October and ends in February being cool and pleasant with temperatures ranging from a maximum 22 degree Celsius to a minimum of 15 degree Celsius. The best time to visit this beach being from October to February since the climate during this period ideally suits sightseeing.

This beach consists of a three major tourists attractions. They are as follows:
- Jolly Buoy Island:
This is a beautiful island located around this beach that provides for underwater coral viewing via snorkelling. Scuba diving is yet another popular water sport activity available in this scenic island. Additionally, it takes approximately an hour to reach this island from the beach.
2. Red Skin Island:
Yet another island located around this beach that is mainly renowned for corals and a rich marine life.
3. Mahatma Gandhi Marine National Park:
Named after the great Mahatma Gandhi this marine national park located around this beach was established on 24th May 1983. This marine park is home to a variety of exotic marine life that includes corals and sea turtles and, hence considered to be a major tourist attraction.
