Considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Goa is the Majodra Beach. This picturesque beach is located in South Goa at a distance of 5 km from Colva Beach is renowned for its crystal clear turquoise water, blue sky, soft sand, and lush green surroundings. Apart from its pristine and tranquil environment this beach is also popular for its shacks/restaurants, beach side shops, and for water sports activities.

How to Reach Majorda Beach?

  1. By train:

The closest railway station to this beach is located in Margao at a distance of 11 km. The Margao/Madgao Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country.

The ideal routes via road to this beach are as follows

  1. Via Margao:

There are two routes available from Margao. They are as follows

      2. Via Arlem Bypass:

The route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, Margao Bypass, Arlem Bypass, MarjordaNuvem Road, MarjodaNuvem Road, and finally the beach.Via NH-66:

This route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, St Joaquim Road, Margo-Ponda Highway, PanajiFarmagudi, Margao Highway Bypass Road, MajordaNuvem Road, and finally the beach.

      3. Via Mapusa:

There are two routes available from Mapusa. They are as follows.

  1. Via NH-66:

This route includes Duler-Marna-Siolim Road, Guirim, Majorda-Nuvrem, and finally the beach.

  1. Via NH-66 and MDR44:

This route includes Duler-Marna-Siolim, Quelossim, Cortalim, Racaim, Loutulim, Borim, Margao-Ponda Highway, Panaji-Farmagudi-Margao Highway Bypass, Arlem Bypass, and finally to the beach.

  1. By air:

The nearest airport is located in Dabolim at a distance of 18 km. The Dabolim or Goa International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as international destination. 

Climate and the best time to visit Majorda Beach

The best climate to visit this beach is during the “pleasant” winter season with the temperature ranging from the maximum of 28 degree Celsius and a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoons which begins in June and ends in September is heavy. The summer season which begins in March and ends in May on the other hand is “hot and humid” with the temperature raising to a maximum to 35 degree Celsius.

There are a number of activities related to water sports such as surfing, water skiing etc. In addition, swimming is also quite a popular activity at this beach.

There are number of restaurants/shacks located at this beach that provide for typical Goan cuisine. In addition, there a few popular bakeries located around this beach.

     3. Nightlife/Partying:

This beach too like most beaches in Goa is renowned for its vibrant lifestyle. There are number popular nightclubs and pubs located in this beach that provide for parties that continue into the wee hours in the morning. A few popular nightclubs and pubs are as follows
