Sinquerim Beach – Goa
Considered to be among the best in Goa, and located at about 13 km from Panaji is beach called “Sinquerim Beach”. This beach is renowned for its scenic beauty as well as for its pristine environment. The sea overlying this beautiful beach is safe, thereby making it ideal for activities such as swimming. - By train:
The nearest Railway Station to this beach is located in Thivim located at a distance of 23 km.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to the Sinquerim Beach then the ideal way would be from Panaji located at a distance of 13 km. There are two routes available from Panaji to this beach. They are as follows
- Via Betim-Verem-Saligao Road
This route includes DB Marg, Rua De Ourem, Siolim Road, Fort Aguada Road and finally the beach.

This route includes DB Marg, Rua De Ourem, Siolim Road, Fort Aguada Road, and finally Sinquerim beach.
- By air:
The closest airport to this beach is located in Dabolim. The Dabolim Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as to international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit Sinquerim Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer which begins in March and ends in May is extremely hot with the temperature during this period averaging 35 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoons which begins in June and ends in September is heavy. The winter which begins in December and ends in February is pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius and a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is in between December to March during the winter.
Things/activities to do
There are a number of things/activities that are quite popular around this beach. They are as follows
- Boat Rides:
Boat Rides includes rides that cover the coastline surrounding this beach. It also includes hidden coves that were apparently used by smugglers. In addition, this ride also provides for the magnificent view of Fort Aguada.
2. Banana boat ride:
This boat includes several twists and turns and in general is a fun ride.
3. Water Scooters:
A water scooter ride in the sea is available at this beach. In addition, these powerful scooters are available on rent with a choice between a solo and a chauffeur driven ride provided.
This beach is also famous for parasailing activities.
