Varca Beach – Goa

The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Margao. The Margao Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country.
- By Road:
If you intend to drive to this beach then the ideal starting point would be Margao located at a distance of 29 km. There are three routes from Margao available to this beach. They are as follows:
- Via Varca-Margao Road
This route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, Margao-Quepem Road, Varca-Margao Road, Colva/Varca-Fatrade Beach Road to finally the Varca Beach.
2. Via Joaquim Road and Varca-Margao Road
This route includesSwami Chinmayanand Road, St Joaquim Road, Pajifond, RuaCustodio de Pinho, BharatkaHegde Desai Road, Varca-Margao Road, and finally the Varca Beach.
3. Via Varca-Margao Road and Colva Road/Varca-Fatrade Beach
This route includes Swami Chinmayanand Road, Martin Dias Road, Varca-Margao Road, Colva Road/Varca-Fatrade Beach Road to finally Varca.
- By air:
The closest airport to this beach is located in Dabolim. The Dabolim International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as to major international destination.
Climate and the best time to visit Varca Beach
The ideal time to visit this beach is during the “pleasant” winter which arrives in December and departs in February with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius to a minimum of 21 degree Celsius. The summer months which begins in March and ends in May is “hot and humid” with the mercury rising to about 35 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoons from June to September is heavy.
