Located on an island at a distance of 30 kilometers from the holy city of Dwarka is a beautiful beach called Bet. Since this beach is situated on an island called Bet Dwarka Beach it has been named so. This picturesque beach has gained popularity because of the presence of water birds that adds more charm to its beauty. In addition, this beach is also popular for its beautiful white sand and coral reef.

- By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Dwarka. The Dwarka Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country such as Jamnagar, Mumbai, and Rajkot. From Dwarka one needs to then hire a ferry from a port called Okha to this beach.
- By road:
If you intend to drive up to this beach then, you will need to reach Okha in order to hire a boat to this beach. There are two ideal starting point’s i.e Jamnagar and Rajkot.
- Via Jamnagar:
There exists one route from Jamnagar via NH-947.
2. Via Rajkot:
There exist three routes from Rajkot via NH-947, NH-927D and NH-947, and NH-27 and NH-51.
- By air:
The closest airport to this beach is located in Jamnagar. The Jamnagar Airport is well connected to major cities in the country.
Climate and the best time to visit Bet Dwarka Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer months which begins in March and ends in June with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 42 degree Celsius to a minimum of 23 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in June and ends in September is moderate. The winter season which begins in November and ends in February is pleasant with the temperature ranging from maximum of 34 degree Celsius to a minimum of 9 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is from October to February.
Places To Visit Around Bet Dwarka Beach
There are a number of significant temples located in close proximity to this beach. They are as follows
- Shri Krishna Temple:
Is a 500-year-old temple that was built by ShriVallabhacharya. In this temple the idol of Lord Krishna is believed to be made by Rukmini, the wife of Lord Krishna.
2. Hanuman Temple:
In this temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman there is also an idol of Hanuman’s son Makardwaja. According to legend it was at the site of the temple where Hanuman had to fight Makardwaja to rescue Lord Ram and his brother Lakshman who were trapped in patal i.e. outter world.
Apart from the above mentioned temple there are other temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, Goddess Devi, Lord Vishnu etc located in close proximity to this beach.
