Kudle Beach – Karnataka

Located in the southern part of Gokarna in Karnataka is a scenic beach called Kudle Beach. This beautiful beach is situated in the Uttara Kannada district. It is known for its pristine environment and is surrounded by clear blue sea on one side and beautiful palm trees on the other side. There are a number of beaches such as the Om Beach, Half Moon Beach, Gokarna Beach, and Paradise Beach located in close proximity to this beach.

  1. By train:

The closest railway station to this beach is located in Kumta. The Kumta Railway Station is well connected to a number of major cities and towns in Karnataka.

  1. By road:

If you intend to drive to this beach the ideal starting points would be Mangalore, Bangalore, Karwar, Udupi, and Coimbatore.

  1. Via Mangalore:

There are two routes available from Mangalore, and they consist of via NH-66 and SH-27 and NH-66.

      2. Via Bangalore:

There are two routes available from Bangalore, and they consist of via NH-48 and via NH-48 and NH-67.

      3. ViaKarwar:

There are two routes available from Karwar, and they consist of via NH-66 and via-52 and via-66.

      4. Via Udupi:

There is one route available from Udupi, and it includes via NH-66.

      5. Via Coimbatore:

There are two routes from Coimbatore, and they consist of via NH-69, via NH-48, and via NH-948 and NH-148.

Climate and the best time to visit Kudle Beach

The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in June is hot and humid with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 36 degree Celsius to a minimum of 30 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon from July to October is “moderate”. The winter season on the other hand which begins in November and ends in February is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 29 degree Celsius to a minimum of 17 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beautiful beach is from November to February.

Things/activities to do

There are a few activities/things to do found around this beach that is worth exploring. They are as follows

  1. Water sports and sporting activities:

There are number of water sports related activities available at this beach. In addition, professionally trained instructors are also available. Furthermore, beach volleyball is often played by tourists and is an extremely popular sport played regularly at this beach.

      2. Restaurants/shacks:

There are number of restaurants/shacks located in and around this beach that serve delicious seafood. A few popular ones are Om Shree Ganesh Restaurant, Surya Café, Dolphin View Restaurant, and Sea Lounge.
