Laxmanpur Beach – Andaman And Nicobar
Known for providing a magnificent view of the “setting sun” and located in Neil Island in Andaman and Nicobar is the “Laxmanpur Beach”. It is renowned for its beautiful white sand and is filled with beautiful shells and dead corals. Apparently, this beach has been named after Laxman, the younger brother of Lord Ram the hero of Ramayana. It is also known for its picturesque beauty and pristine environment. There are a number of ferries and boat services available from Port Blair that regularly connects to Neil Island.

The nearest airport to this beach is located in Port Blair. The Veer Savarkar International Airport is very well connected to major cities in the country such as Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, Chennai etc.
Climate and best time to visit Laxmanpur Beach:
The climate in general during the summer months of March to May is hot with an average maximum temperature of 34 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season from June to September ranges from moderate to heavy while, the winter months from November to February being extremely pleasant with the mercury dropping to as low as a minimum of 14 degree Celsius. So, the ideal time to visit this beach is from October to February since, the temperature during this period is best suited for sightseeing as well as for indulging in some fun in the sea.

Since this beach is extremely picturesque and is renowned for providing the perfect “sunset view” it is an ideal destination to enjoy photography. The sea at this beach is supposed to be calm as well shallow making it ideal for activities such as swimming and snorkelling.
