Bogmalo Beach – Goa
Comprising of a unique combination of a serene atmosphere and picturesque beauty is the Bogmalo Beach located in a city called Vasco in Goa. This small beach is renowned for a number of shack/restaurants that provide for quality Goan cuisine. Like many beaches in Goa this beach too is popular for water sports and adventure activities. Additionally, this beach is also popular for handicraft shops.

- By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Vasco Da Gama at a distance of 8 km. The Vasco Da Gama Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach then the ideal starting points would be either from Margao or Vasco Da Gama.
- Via Margao
There exist two routes from Margao
2. Via NH-566
This route includes MargaoByass, Arlem Bypass, Nuvem, Bogmalo Road, to eventually the beach.
3. Via NH-566 and Bogmalo Road
This route includes Swamy Chinmayanand Road, Margao Bypass, Margao-Ponda Highway, Panaji-Farmgudi-Margao Highway Bypass Road, Verna, Bogmalo Road, and finally the Bogmalo Beach.
4. Via Vasco Da Gama
There exists one route from Vasco Da Gama. It is as follows

This route includes using the NH-566 and the Bogmalo Road before eventually arriving at this beach.
Climate and the best time to visit Bogmalo
The “pleasant” winter which begins in December and ends in February ranging from a maximum of 28 degree Celsius to a minimum of 21 degree Celsius is the ideal time to visit this beach. The summer months which begins in March ends in May is “hot and humid” with average maximum temperature ranging to about 35 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon which begins in June and ends in September is “heavy”.

There are a number of things/activities to do around this beach they are as follows:
- Water Sports
The landscape of this beach makes it ideal for water related activities such as swimming, diving, windsurfing, parasailing, Jet skiing etc. A PADI approved Mini Diving School is also available at this beach.
- Handicraft shops:
There are a number of shops available on this beach that is renowned for good quality Kashmiri handicraft products. In addition, these shops also sell electronic goods.
- Relaxation and Sunbathing:
This beach with its picturesque beauty that includes its white sand, clear water, and plenty of sun makes it ideal spot for tourist to relax and laze around. In addition, like most beaches in Goa it is ideal for sunbathing.
- Nightlife:
This beach is also renowned for its lavish night parties that never seem to carry on forever. There are several bars, pubs, and restaurants on this beach that provide for a vibrant party life. Some of these bar and restaurants are as follows:
