Aidakadalayi Beach – Kerala
A scenic and pristine beach called Aidakadalayi Beach is located in the Kannur district in Kerala. This beautiful beach is situated at a distance of 6 km from the Kannur town in the Kannur district in close proximity to a village called Edakkad. It is situated in a desolate spot and is known for its tranquil environment. Furthermore, this beach is not yet developed, hence does not attract large number of tourists.

The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Kannur. The Kannur Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country such as Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa, Jaipur etc.

If you intend to drive to this beach the ideal starting points would be Udupi, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, and Bangalore.

There are three routes from Udupi to this beach, and they are via NH-66, via NH-275 and via NH-66, and via SH-37 and NH-66.

There are two routes available from Mangalore to this beach, and they are via NH-66 and via NH-275 and NH-66.
3. Via Kozhikode:
There are two routes from Kozhikode to this beach, and they are via NH-66 and via NHH-66 and AnchamPeedika-Kolathuvayal Road-Puthiyangadi-Koothuparamba-Chovva Bypass.
4. Via Coimbatore:
There are three routes from Coimbatore to this beach, and they are via Kozhikode-Malapuram-Palakkad Highway and NH-66, via NH-66, and via Mannarkkad-Anakkatti Road, and NH-66.
5. Via Bangalore:
There are three routes from Bangalore to this beach, and they are via NH-275, NH-948, and via NH-75.

The closest airport to the beach is located in Calicut. The Calicut International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit Aidakadalayi Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is “hot and humid” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 38 degree Celsius to a minimum of 23 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in June and ends in September is “heavy”. Meanwhile the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is “pleasant” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 29 degree Celsius to a minimum of 13 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this scenic beach is from December to February.
