In close proximity to the Payyambalam Beach in the Kannur district in Kerala is the Baby Beach. This beach is known for its scenic beauty as well as for its pristine environment. In addition, since this beach is a part of the Cannanore Cantonment entry to this beach is restricted at times. Furthermore, this beach provides for magnificent view of a fort called St. Angello, which lies in close proximity.

The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Kannur. The Kannur Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country such as Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa, Jaipur etc.

By road:

If you intend to drive to this beach the ideal starting points would be Udupi, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, and Bangalore.

Via Udupi:

There are two routes from Udupi to this beach, and they are via NH-66, and via NH-275 and NH-66.

2. Via Mangalore:

There is one route from Mangalore to this beach, and it is via NH-66.

3. Via Kozhikode:

There is one route from Kozhikode to this beach, and it is via NH-66.

4. Via Coimbatore:

There is one route available from Coimbatore to this beach, and it is via Kozhikode-Malappuram—Palakkad Highway and NH-66.

Climate and the best time to visit Baby Beach

The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is “hot and humid” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 38 degree Celsius to a minimum of 23 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in June and ends in September is “heavy”. Meanwhile the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is “pleasant” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 29 degree Celsius to a minimum of 13 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this scenic beach is from December to February.
