Thayyil Beach – Kerala
Located in the Kannur district in Kerala is a pristine and picturesque beach called Thayyil Beach. This beautiful beach is situated in a small town called Thayyil. Furthermore, this beach is one of the less popular beaches in Kerala and has not been developed. As a result of which this beach does not attract a large number of tourists.

- By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Kannur. The Kannur Railway Station is well connected to major cities in the country such as Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Goa, Jaipur etc.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach the ideal starting points would be Udupi, Mangalore, Kozhikode, Coimbatore, and Bangalore.
- Via Udupi:
There are two routes from Udupi to this beach, and they are via NH-66 and via NH-544 and NH-66.

There is one route from Mangalore to this beach, and it is via NH-66.
3. Via Kozhikode:
There are two routes from Kozhikode to this beach, and they are via NH-66 and NH-544 and NH-66.
4. Via Coimbatore:
There is one route from Coimbatore to this beach, and it is via NH-544.
5. Via Bangalore:
There are two routes from Bangalore to this beach, and they are via NH-44 and NH-544 and via NH-948 and NH-544.
- By air:
The closest airport to the beach is located in Calicut. The Calicut International Airport is well connected to major cities in the country as well as international destinations.
Climate and the best time to visit the Thayyil Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in May is “hot and humid” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 38 degree Celsius to a minimum of 23 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in June and ends in September is “heavy”. Meanwhile, the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is “pleasant” with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 29 degree Celsius to a minimum of 13 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this scenic beach is from December to February.

Since this beach has not been developed there are not many things/activities to do found at this beach. So it is eventually the pristine environment and the scenic beauty of this beach that must be truly enjoyed by tourists planning to visit.
