Bordi Beach – Maharashtra
Located at a distance of 145 km from the city of Mumbai is an extremely scenic beach called Bordi Beach. This beautiful beach is located in a coastal town called Dahanu in the Palghar district in Maharashtra. In addition, this picturesque and pristine beach is surrounded by Casurina trees, coconut grooves, and Chikoo orchards. Furthermore, in close proximity to this beach lies the renowned “UdvadaFire Temple” (also known as the “Mecca of Zoroastrians).

- By train:
The nearest railway station to this beach is located in Gholvad at a distance of 7 km. The Gholvad Railway Station is well connected to major cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad etc. In addition, the Dahanu Railway Station is also located in close proximity to this beach.
- By road:
If you intend to drive to this beach then the ideal starting points would be Nashik, Pune,Surat, Valsad, and Vapi
- Via Nashik:
There are two routes from Nashik to this beach, and they are via NH-848 and via NH-848 and GJ SH-5.

There are three routes from Pune to this beach, and they are via Mumbai-Bangalore Highway/Mumbai-Pune Highway and NH-48.

There is one route from Surat to this beach, and it is via NH-48.
4. Via Valsad:

There are two routes from Vapi to this beach, and they are via NH-48 and GJ SH-5 and via Dahanu Road.

Climate and the best time to visit Bordi Beach
The climate at this beach during the summer season which begins in March and ends in June is extremely hot with the temperatures ranging from a maximum of 40 degree Celsius to a minimum of 22 degree Celsius. The rainfall received during the monsoon season which begins in July and ends in September is moderate. Meanwhile the winter season which begins in December and ends in February is extremely pleasant with the temperature ranging from a maximum of 32 degree Celsius to a minimum of 12 degree Celsius. So the ideal time to visit this beach is from October to February.

A Jain Temple called Mallinath Jain TirthKosbad located in close proximity to this beach is yet another major tourist attraction in the region.
3. Dahanu Fort:
Standing tall at a height of about 38 feet in close proximity to this beach is the Dahanu Fort. This beautiful fort is said to have built using cut stones.
